Paper Presentation
The art of paper presentation brings ideas to life that brim with promise and potential. It is a commemoration of skill, confidence and proficiency. In-house participants selected for this event, will prepare and present compelling novel research papers or comprehensive reviews with the aid of a PowerPoint Presentation, supporting their narrative, to a panel of esteemed judges.
This event is exclusively for selected SXC students. The presentation of the participants must either constitute an original work or a review article.
Each team may consist of two (2) presenters.
The total allotted time for each presentation is 10 minutes, comprising 8 minutes for elaborating on the topic, followed by a warning buzzer at the 8th minute and a final buzzer at the end of the 10th minute, which will conclude the presentation. A question-and-answer session for 2 minutes will further follow this. If the participants continue to speak after the wrap-up time warning, their presentation will be halted and the participants will be deemed disqualified.
The evaluation will be based on presentation skills, content of the presentation and adherence to the allotted time limit. Marks will be awarded accordingly and the decision of the judges will be final and binding.
Every team is required to submit the full paper along with its abstract. The complete submission — including the abstract and references — must not exceed three (3) pages in total. If the word limit is exceeded, only the first three pages will be considered for evaluation.
The deadline for submission of abstracts is 9th September, 2025.
