Unveiling the unseen frontiers of science, 'Modern Trends in Microbiology' is a premier conference hosted by the Department of Microbiology at St. Xavier’s College (Autonomous), Kolkata. Celebrating its 21st anniversary, This prestigious international seminar, brainchild of Dr. Arup Kr. Mitra, continues to break new ground in biological knowledge. The seminar has consistently featured enlightening sessions by distinguished speakers from various institutions, both local and international, fostering interdepartmental connections. The upcoming event, scheduled for October 4th-5th, 2024, welcomes esteemed institutions from across Kolkata to participate in a diverse array of activities.. St. Xavier's hosts a comprehensive Microbiology event featuring various competitions. Paper Presentation focuses on action-oriented research, while Poster Presentation encourages visual representation of scientific concepts. A three-round Quiz tests biology knowledge. The new MicroBizz event integrates business ideas with microbial technologies. This multifaceted array of events fosters interdepartmental connections and provides an enriching educational experience for students.
